Islington – London
Plaquemine Lock is a Pub in Angel, Islington, which opened in 2017. They serve a range of Cajun and Creole food from Louisiana in a relaxed atmosphere, along with great beer, cocktails and wine. They were also awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2018 Michelin Guide – so they must be doing something right!
You can even enjoy the scrumptious food from Plaquemine Lock from the comfort of your own home through their outside catering services. Along with this, they also offer full & partial use of the venue – for seated meals, meetings, drinks receptions and canape parties!
Along with their passion for serving a taste of Louisiana, Plaquemine Lock is also showing their care for ending poverty and for the environment through their partnership with Carbon Free Dining – the United Nations Environment backed initiative.
As a Carbon Free Dining Certified pub, all of Plaquemine Lock’s diners have the opportunity to plant a fruit tree in the developing world. These fruit trees not only counterbalance the carbon produced from Plaquemine Lock’s incredible meals, they also change the lives of some of the poorest people on our planet by providing food, shelter, education and the means to start a stable economy.
