The White Horse
The White Horse is a beautiful pub located in Shrewsbury. Established in 1900, The White Horse was brought back to life in 2019 to reveal a pub rich with character and history. They serve a wide range of food, mixing classic British cuisine with dishes inspired by flavours from around the globe! And with a menu that is 50% plant-based, anyone can enjoy a hearty meal at The White Horse!
At The White Horse they’re also keen to be sustainable – they make great use of local produce to reduce food miles, and they’re also a member of The Sustainable Restaurant Association, and striving to be environmentally-friendly through removing disposables such as straws and stirrers, and only using compostable napkins.
Further showing their passion for sustainability, The White Horse has partnered with the United Nations Environment backed initiative Carbon Free Dining.
As a Carbon Free Dining Certified pub, everyone who dines at The White Horse has the opportunity to plant a fruit tree in the developing world. These trees are changing the lives of some of the most deprived communities on our planet by providing food, shelter, education and the start to a sustainable and stable economy while counterbalancing the carbon produced from The White Horse’s delicious meals.
